Delicious Salmon and Shrimp with Cajun Cream Sauce Recipe

Ingredients:

  • For the Salmon and Shrimp:
    • 4 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless)
    • 12 large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
    • 1 tbsp olive oil
    • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
    • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • For the Cajun Cream Sauce:
    • 2 tbsp butter
    • 3 cloves garlic (minced)
    • 1 cup heavy cream
    • 1/2 cup chicken or seafood broth
    • 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
    • 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
    • 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
    • 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional for spice)
    • 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)

Instructions:

  1. Season and Cook Salmon:
    • Pat the salmon fillets dry and season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
    • Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the salmon for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked to your liking. Remove and set aside.
  2. Cook Shrimp:
    • In the same skillet, add shrimp and season with a pinch of Cajun seasoning. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
  3. Prepare Cajun Cream Sauce:
    • Lower the heat to medium. Melt butter in the skillet and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
    • Stir in heavy cream and broth. Simmer gently for 3-4 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
    • Mix in Parmesan cheese, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
  4. Combine:
    • Return the salmon and shrimp to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Let them warm in the sauce for 1-2 minutes.
  5. Serve:
    • Garnish with fresh parsley and serve over pasta, rice, or sautéed vegetables.

This dish is a flavorful combination of tender seafood and creamy, spicy goodness, perfect for an indulgent dinner!
