Delicious Salmon and Shrimp with Cajun Cream Sauce Recipe
Ingredients:
- For the Salmon and Shrimp:
- 4 salmon fillets (skin-on or skinless)
- 12 large shrimp (peeled and deveined)
- 1 tbsp olive oil
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- For the Cajun Cream Sauce:
- 2 tbsp butter
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1/2 cup chicken or seafood broth
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tsp Cajun seasoning
- 1/2 tsp smoked paprika
- 1/4 tsp crushed red pepper flakes (optional for spice)
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped, for garnish)
Instructions:
- Season and Cook Salmon:
- Pat the salmon fillets dry and season with Cajun seasoning, salt, and pepper.
- Heat olive oil in a skillet over medium-high heat. Sear the salmon for 3-4 minutes per side until golden brown and cooked to your liking. Remove and set aside.
- Cook Shrimp:
- In the same skillet, add shrimp and season with a pinch of Cajun seasoning. Cook for 2-3 minutes per side until pink and opaque. Remove and set aside.
- Prepare Cajun Cream Sauce:
- Lower the heat to medium. Melt butter in the skillet and sauté minced garlic until fragrant (about 1 minute).
- Stir in heavy cream and broth. Simmer gently for 3-4 minutes, allowing the sauce to thicken slightly.
- Mix in Parmesan cheese, Cajun seasoning, smoked paprika, and red pepper flakes. Stir until the cheese is melted and the sauce is smooth.
- Combine:
- Return the salmon and shrimp to the skillet, spooning the sauce over the top. Let them warm in the sauce for 1-2 minutes.
- Serve:
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve over pasta, rice, or sautéed vegetables.
This dish is a flavorful combination of tender seafood and creamy, spicy goodness, perfect for an indulgent dinner!
