Easy Homemade Mexican Pizza

This quick and flavorful recipe combines a crispy tortilla base with classic taco ingredients and melted cheese for a Mexican-inspired twist on pizza. Perfect for weeknight dinners or casual gatherings!


Ingredients

  • 4 large flour tortillas
  • 1 lb ground beef or turkey
  • 1 packet taco seasoning
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1 can (16 oz) refried beans
  • 1/2 cup salsa
  • 2 cups shredded Mexican cheese blend
  • 1/4 cup sliced black olives (optional)
  • 1/4 cup diced tomatoes
  • 1/4 cup chopped green onions
  • 1/4 cup sour cream (optional, for topping)
  • Cooking spray

Instructions

  1. Preheat Oven
    • Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Line a baking sheet with parchment paper or lightly grease it with cooking spray.
  2. Cook the Ground Beef
    • In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned. Drain excess fat, then stir in the taco seasoning and water. Simmer for 2-3 minutes. Set aside.
  3. Prepare the Tortillas
    • Lightly spray both sides of the tortillas with cooking spray and place them on the baking sheet. Bake for 3-4 minutes per side until slightly crispy.
  4. Assemble the Pizza

  5. Bake the Pizzas
    • Return the assembled pizzas to the oven and bake for 5-7 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  6. Add Toppings
    • Remove from the oven and top with diced tomatoes, black olives, and green onions. Drizzle with sour cream if desired.
  7. Serve
    • Slice into quarters and serve warm.
