Fresh Onion Pastry Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 cup + 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
- 1 cup water
- 2 eggs
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 pack baking powder
- 4 sprigs green onions, finely chopped
- Oil, for frying
Instructions:
- Prepare the Dough:
- In a mixing bowl, combine flour, eggs, salt, and baking powder. Mix well.
- Gradually add water while mixing until a smooth batter forms.
- Add Green Onions:
- Mix in the finely chopped green onions into the batter until evenly distributed.
- Fry the Pastries:
- Heat oil in a deep frying pan or pot over medium-high heat.
- Using a ladle, carefully drop spoonfuls of the batter into the hot oil, making sure not to overcrowd the pan.
- Fry until the bottom of the pastries turns golden brown and they start to float to the surface. Occasionally shake the ladle gently to separate the pastries from sticking together.
- Flip the pastries and fry the other side until golden brown.
- Serve:
- Remove the pastries from the oil and drain on paper towels to remove excess oil.
- Serve hot and crispy.
