A delicious dessert with its origins in the mid-century potlucks of the United States is Pineapple Dream Dessert. Pineapple, cream cheese, and a graham cracker crust come together in this rich and creamy no-bake dessert. It’s an ideal dessert for those seeking a touch of nostalgia or for those seeking something lighter to round off a heartier dinner.
It is recommended to serve this delicious dessert cold. Try topping it with some whipped cream or serving it with a scoop of vanilla ice cream to bring out its best tastes and textures. If you want to make it seem like a traditional pineapple upside-down cake for a party, you may add more pineapple chunks as a garnish or even a cherry.
The rapid sear, gorgeous golden brown exterior, juicy inside, and delectable taste of these pork chops are achieved by pan-frying them at high heat with olive oil and butter.
The ideal pork chops to whip up on a hectic evening. The nicest aspect is that the spices may be adjusted to your taste.
Another option is to try these Best Thick Pork Chops if you like your chops on the thick side. Stuffed pork chops and pork tenderloin are two other recipes that you could like.
Dessert of Pineapple Dreams – 8 Servings
What You Need:
Gram cracker crumbs, measuring 1 cup
half a cup of melted unsalted butter
half a cup of sugar
whipping topping (or two cups of whipped cream)
8 ounces of seasoned, whipped cream
Crushed pineapple, 20 oz., rinsed thoroughly
What to do
1. In a medium-sized bowl, combine the sugar, melted butter, and graham cracker crumbs.
2. Press the mixture firmly into an 8×8-inch dish to produce the bottom crust.
3. In a separate dish, mix the whipped topping with half of the melted cream cheese. The mixture should be well mixed.
On top of the crust, evenly distribute the cream cheese mixture.
5. Add the drained pineapple and the rest of the whipped topping to the same bowl and stir until well blended.
6. Top the cream cheese layer with the pineapple mixture.
7. Put the dessert in the fridge to set, ideally for at least four hours but better overnight.
8. If you’d like, you may top it over with more whipped topping and some graham cracker crumbs before serving.
Tips and Variations
You may give this traditional recipe a tropical spin by adding layers of peach or mango, or you can make it crunchier by mixing nuts into the crust. Minimize the sugar in the crust or use natural whipped cream for a less sugary alternative. If you substitute coconut cream with a vegan-friendly cream cheese, you may make this delicious dessert even for vegans.
