Garlic Butter Baked Scallops Recipe
Ingredients:
- 1 lb (450g) fresh or thawed scallops
- 4 tbsp unsalted butter (melted)
- 3 cloves garlic (minced)
- 1/4 cup breadcrumbs (Panko or regular)
- 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 1 tbsp fresh parsley (chopped)
- 1/2 tsp paprika
- Salt and pepper to taste
- Lemon wedges (for serving)
Instructions:
- Preheat Oven: Preheat your oven to 400°F (200°C). Lightly grease a baking dish or oven-safe skillet.
- Prepare Scallops: Pat the scallops dry with paper towels. Arrange them in a single layer in the prepared dish.
- Make Garlic Butter: In a small bowl, mix the melted butter and minced garlic. Pour the mixture evenly over the scallops.
- Prepare Topping: In another bowl, combine breadcrumbs, Parmesan cheese, parsley, paprika, salt, and pepper. Sprinkle the mixture evenly over the scallops.
- Bake: Bake in the preheated oven for 12-15 minutes, or until the scallops are opaque and cooked through. If you prefer a golden crust, broil for an additional 1-2 minutes.
- Serve: Remove from the oven and garnish with extra parsley if desired. Serve with lemon wedges on the side.
