Ultimate Bacon Double Cheeseburger Recipe
Ingredients:
- For the Burgers:
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef (80/20 blend for juiciness)
- 1 tsp garlic powder
- 1 tsp onion powder
- 1 tsp smoked paprika
- Salt and black pepper to taste
- 8 slices of bacon (cooked to your preference)
- 4 slices cheddar cheese (or your favorite cheese)
- For Assembly:
- 2 large burger buns
- 2 tbsp mayonnaise
- 2 tbsp ketchup
- 1 tbsp mustard (optional)
- Lettuce leaves
- Tomato slices
- Pickles
- Sliced red onion (optional)
Instructions:
- Prepare the Bacon: Cook bacon in a skillet or oven until crispy. Drain on paper towels and set aside.
- Mix and Shape Patties: In a bowl, combine ground beef with garlic powder, onion powder, smoked paprika, salt, and pepper. Gently mix to combine, then divide into 4 equal portions. Shape into thin patties slightly larger than your buns (they’ll shrink when cooking).
- Cook the Patties:
- Heat a skillet or grill over medium-high heat. Cook the patties for 2-3 minutes per side.
- During the last minute of cooking, place a slice of cheese on each patty and cover with a lid to melt.
- Toast the Buns: Lightly toast the burger buns on the grill or skillet for added texture.
- Assemble the Burgers:
- Spread mayonnaise, ketchup, and mustard on the bottom bun.
- Layer with lettuce, tomato, and pickles.
- Add one patty, two slices of bacon, and another patty with cheese.
- Top with the remaining bun.
- Serve: Serve immediately with fries, onion rings, or your favorite side dish.
