Slow Cooker Ravioli Lasagna
Ingredients
- 1 lb (450g) ground beef or Italian sausage
- 1 jar (24 oz) marinara or spaghetti sauce
- 1 can (14 oz) diced tomatoes (optional, for extra sauce)
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp garlic powder
- 1/2 tsp onion powder
- Salt and pepper, to taste
- 1 package (20 oz) frozen cheese or meat ravioli
- 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1 cup shredded Parmesan cheese
- 1 cup ricotta or cottage cheese (optional)
- Fresh parsley or basil for garnish (optional)
Instructions
- Cook the Meat
In a skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef or sausage until browned. Drain excess fat. Stir in the marinara sauce, diced tomatoes (if using), Italian seasoning, garlic powder, onion powder, salt, and pepper. Simmer for 5 minutes. - Layer in the Slow Cooker
Spray the inside of the slow cooker with cooking spray. Spread a thin layer of the meat sauce at the bottom. Add a single layer of frozen ravioli on top, then sprinkle with a mix of mozzarella and Parmesan cheese. If using ricotta or cottage cheese, dollop small spoonfuls over the ravioli. - Repeat the Layers
Continue layering meat sauce, ravioli, and cheeses until all ingredients are used, finishing with a generous layer of mozzarella and Parmesan on top. - Cook
Cover and cook on low heat for 4-5 hours or high heat for 2-3 hours, until the ravioli is tender and the cheese is melted and bubbly. - Serve
Garnish with fresh parsley or basil and serve with garlic bread or a side salad.
