Ingredients
- 8 oz bowtie pasta (farfalle)
- 1 lb ground beef
- 1 small onion, finely chopped
- 2 cloves garlic, minced
- 1 tsp Italian seasoning
- 1/2 tsp salt (adjust to taste)
- 1/2 tsp black pepper
- 1 cup beef broth
- 1 cup heavy cream
- 1 cup shredded mozzarella cheese
- 1/2 cup grated Parmesan cheese
- 2 tbsp tomato paste
- 2 tbsp olive oil
- Fresh parsley, for garnish
Instructions
- Cook the Pasta
- Bring a large pot of salted water to a boil and cook the bowtie pasta according to package instructions until al dente. Drain and set aside.
- Cook the Beef Mixture
- In a large skillet, heat olive oil over medium heat. Add the onion and cook until softened, about 2-3 minutes.
- Add the ground beef, breaking it up with a spoon, and cook until browned. Drain excess fat if needed.
- Stir in the garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, and tomato paste. Cook for 1-2 minutes to combine the flavors.
- Make the Creamy Sauce
- Pour in the beef broth and stir, scraping up any browned bits from the pan. Let it simmer for 3-4 minutes.
- Reduce the heat to low and stir in the heavy cream. Cook for another 2-3 minutes until the sauce thickens slightly.
- Combine Pasta and Sauce
- Add the cooked pasta to the skillet and toss to coat in the creamy sauce. Stir in the mozzarella cheese and Parmesan cheese until melted and creamy.
- Serve
- Garnish with fresh parsley and serve warm. Pair with a side of garlic bread or a fresh salad for a complete meal.
Tips:
- Use a mix of ground beef and Italian sausage for added flavor.
- Substitute heavy cream with half-and-half for a lighter version.
- Add spinach or cherry tomatoes for a burst of color and nutrition.
